Preparedness Property For Sale

Postby marty » Thu Aug 23, 2012 4:07 am

We are selling our home that is virtually off grid and totally self sustaining. It is located in the foothills near Water Valley and has a wood boiler and catalytic wood stove for heat, two greenhouses, a large garden, root cellar, distiller, storage tank for gasoline, generator, an endless supply of water and is in an agricultural district. There are outbuildings for wood, tools and two chicken coops. Also a riding area for a horse with shelter and tack room.

The MLS number is below. Serious inquiries only please.

MLS #C3516740

Somehow bug-out living takes on a whole new perspective. This wouldn't even feel like a hardship, now I just have to check for money in my jacket pockets!

I looked at the property through mls. It is a very nice property and yes self sustaining for the most part. To put it forward as a prepper property though would be a stretch I think. Too many windows. Difficult to fortify and so "attractive" it screams "loot me".

Holy Crap,
We were just out there on the August long weekend to find lease land to go hunting (successful) as we have 2 moose tags in that wmu this fall.

As well, you're 20 mins from the next AB preppers meeting lol. We should have arranged to meet there! (Don't worry, we won't crash)

It is a beautiful set up and maybe it could be a preppers paradise if it's far enough off the road to remain inconspicuous. I wish my lotto ticket was more useful as well.

Not to take anything away from the owner but a BOL like that is not for me. Mine is 6.5 acres, house needs work but livable now. Good water, gas, septic and power. We paid 720,000 less! Sooooo man can I prep NOW. It is in farming community in eastern Alberta. About 2 hours from our primary residence. Basically we bought this instead of 2 new vehicles (same price).
