My doggy saddle bags came in the mail. I already set up a little kit with water, food, and treats for her very own bug out bag, I just need to pick up a spare leash and collar for her and maybe a soft mesh muzzle to go with it. I planted my squash seeds inside and many are already sprouting strong, as are some salad mix seeds. I hatching out a few dozen eggs I bought at auction, and have sold most of my chicks to add to my little nest egg! That and some overtime at work have led to a pretty good week thus far!
I haven't posted in a while. Been rotating some old food stocks... we had stockpiled more PB, jam and cereal than could be eaten in 5 years. So we've been eating the "expired" stuff and starting to restock behind it.
There were some good ammo deals at Christmas and Easter so i ended up with two more crates of non-corrosive 7.62x39 and another 2k rounds of 9mm. I'm going to go through alot this summer as a co-worker and I both joined an outdoor range and are getting into 3-gun. Which required a new inner-outer belt and mag pouches as it is a different set up from my bugout kit. Which is a battle belt and chest rig.
we are continuing to work in the backyard and have now finished a raised pad for the planned greenhouse (20' by 24') She wants to grow tomatoes and cucumbers with more success.
Also paid off my credit card from some nasty vet bills. Could have bought a new car instead but our little guy got very sick and eventually succumbed anyways. A rough winter indeed.
This last 2 weeks. :bought 2 Costco sheds at discount to convert to coops. Hatched more of our baby chicks and ducks. Bought a rush 24 backpack to use as my work EDC/GHB. Bought a used ZT 350 knife for a cache. Vancouver cache got some more ready made food. Practiced a bug out / GH route. Watched a tutorial on the uv5r. Planned out the poultry expansion. Picked through rocks to lay in more support posts for fencing. Week 2 of physical makeover-Started liver cleanse and Keto/bulletproof diet. Arranged shearing for the alpacas, and got daily 5k hikes in.
Grudgingly , I also had to squeeze in six days of work as well as a day 'lost' in Vancouver betweens shifts. Ugh. I was happy with the overall productivity, but not The time away from home.
Next week, clearing land/prepping firewood for new coops. Taking the little warriors to the hot springs for campcraft instruction and dad time. (see BC forum for post) should be relatively empty site, as most kids are still in the socialist indoctrination centers. We homeschool:) If I can convince then boss: range trip planned. Maybe apply for Limited entry draw with a legit hunter / prepper bud.
