Propane Tank Question: 100L vs 20L

Postby thecrownsown » Wed Oct 05, 2016 5:45 pm

I have a set of 20L standard residential Propane tanks (Photo attached) which are great and made to accomodate a BBQ, Buddy Heaters, etc. Great for power outages and secondary source of cooking, heat, etc. But..they are 20L tanks.

Recently I gained possession of a 100L Propane tank...but...the head on the tank is a female connection...not what you would typically see on a 20L tank...

Does anyone know of any fitting or connection that screws into this larger tank so that it can be used for residential purposes like a buddy heater, bbq, etc. I'm not looking for any jury rigged configurations...I'm not messing around with combustibles..especially Propane....but is there something out there I can get that would simply screw into the top of the 100L to give me the correct attachement?

Thanks,

TCO

That's just the old style propane fitting, left hand thread.

You mean like this?

Check the fitting on what you want to attach. It may already have the older, male fitting inside the other one.
