Moving to aus

Postby Duffmanprepper » Fri Feb 15, 2013 3:04 am

My family and I are planning to move to Australia in a few years I was wondering if any has any advice about thing we might struggle with and what the gun laws are like there can I bring my rifle and hand gun
And what's the most thing you have noticed with people that move there
It's been a childhood dream to move to the land down under looking forward to it
Also looking at either Brisbane or cairns but will only be going to Queensland most likely unless convinced other wise lol
Hint hint

Firearms policy - Australia

If you are planning to move to Brisbane or Cairns you should keep an eye on the Aussie news.....
Floods/tropical cyclones - Vast area's of coastal (and inland)Queensland (and NSW) flooded in 2011 and again in early 2013. Summer is tropical cyclone season up north.

Duffmanprepper I would suggest that you PM both "FNQer1" & "Razerp" as they both live up North (QLD). They will have the best advice for your planned relocation - I'm located down south (which is still burning) so my assistance is limited. You could also read through the Aussie forum as there is a thread on tropical storms started by Razerp - excellent information for those not experienced with tropical cyclones etc.
