Yeah we seem to be few and far between. Or are we just keeping a low profile?

We keep a low profile on what we do and have, and certainly don't advertise our views. My reasoning behind this is simple, if you advertise your readiness then you are targeting yourself.
So we keep a fairly low profile and just recently joined sites like this - were happy to share our knowledge and information to those that ask, personally I believe it is 75% mind-set and 25% preparation. History has shown time and time again all those well prepared groups of explorers that come to grief, and on the other side people thrown into extreme circumstances who have little resources pool their knowledge and tend to get through situations - this also is well documented.

Here in the land down-under, I reckon we are better off, and honestly we would never go hungry - we are lucky to have a bountiful land and sea. I would be very worried if we were in some other country.
At the end of the day no matter what you read, or are taught/told the decision is yours top make.
Any preparation is better than no preparation.

G'day, Brissie guy here.

I'm not a full on end of society/world prepper as such. But i am working towards mid range emergency preparedness. taking the whole "3 days in an emergency" idea and expanding towards 3-6 weeks. what makes this prepping "fun" is that i live in a lil bedsit type unit AND i am pretty much housebound. :) Preparing on a Pension, don't/can't drive, can't even just pop to the shops due to ill health. Heh good times.

Thank goodness for Ebay, for home delivery groceries, and especially for family who help out when i need something. Even if i do get the odd eye roll and why do you need/want that?

Looking forward to checking out the site more fully, and to getting better organised and better prepared.
