Contaminated drinking water in Toledo OH ***DO NOT BOIL***

Postby MikeMcG » Sat Aug 02, 2014 5:23 pm

Apparently there is an issue with microcystin due to an algae bloom in Lake Erie. Boiling will not address the health risk. I tried to post this to the Ohio section but couldn't log on there. Could some one post this there? The advisory seems to affect Toledo and Lucas County

Looking at the tread about it on reddit, people in the area are saying people are starting to get pretty anxious and going a little bananas...

Where to get water:

Aaaaand the expected run on bottled water. (Our "I told ya so" moment has come!)

I'm not sure the material is to be put into practice, can you explain or not.
