Here are two links about Venezuela Denob.

If you need more proof the info is all over the place.

Also I was just comparing the situation between there and Alberta. However this could easily happen all over Canada.

In the meantime we prep, we keep learning and we will be ready when SHTF.

A friend of mine from the US visited her friends down there with her suitcase loaded with supplies for them last fall. Her flight stopped in the Caribbean and she was advised that she should unload her suitcase and take boxes of condoms which she did not do, and sure enough they were selling on the black market for $700 a box. The family she stayed with were in a better area and still subject to some black outs and intermitant water supply . Her hostess had been a dentist but the government is controling everything and she was informed she was not needed and could no longer practice, so she started up a smoothie bar. They try to take advantage of every opportunity when something is made available and hoard as much as possible , things like toilet paper because supply is so inconsistant.
On a small scale we have some parallels here, for instance in BC we have not been able to bring hazelnut trees in from anywhere in Canada nor the USA for years due to government restrictions . Now a blight has made its way up from Oregon and decimated the hazelnut groves which have limited genetic diversity so nothing found to be resistant , most being ordered to be destroyed I believe. So the hazelnut production is wiped out . And heritage genetics developed in BC years ago like the Gellatly hazelnut stock are only to be found in other provinces and perhaps the US but nothing available here. I suppose few people care but I see it as an example how the government can create a faltering system .

Not looking for proof...the Venezuela issue is indeed well documented. I was simply curious to see the documentaries you had referenced, purely for information gathering and to be better able to take part in the conversation.
Thanks for the links, I'll be sure to check them out.

No problem Denob. I completely understand, I did say I would put up links so I did.
I also watched some on YouTube, but I couldn't get the links up with my ipad :D .
Quite honestly this was the first time I heard about Venezuela.
I decided 7 years ago to cut the cable, it was one of the best decision I made.
So what is your opinion on this Denob?

I took just a quick peek, but will have to get back to it probably Monday. Right now I'm chin deep with a laptop resoration and tomorrow will be another sap boiling day.
However, on a similar topic, have a look at how Cuba dealt with it's oil crisis...

What about the Ontario Crisis? So many jobs lost. So many people out of work. So many factories closing, closed. And now a Drought!
Ontario is turning into a "police state". Remember the G8 and Mr. Nobody? How about Officer Bubbles? Now the police are Militarizing. Bad Signs.
Ontario Crisis. Canada Crisis. The US is worse. Prepping and this website will grow fast in these conditions. What do you all think?
