Not a lot this week. Bottled a batch of home made wine and put down another batch. Made up some laundry detergent from scratch, enough for another 4 or 5 months (have not bought laundry soap in over 3 years). Added a bit of dried food to the stocks as well but nothing major.

Sure thing. It is super simple, easy and inexpensive.
Combine 1 cup of baking soda, 1 cup of borax and one bar of regular bar soap (the plain and simple kind). You shred the soap first with eith a fine cheese grater by hand or you can slide it up into small bits and put it in a blender along with the other two ingredients. Mix it well and that is it.
I store it in a 1 litre mason jar. One tablespoon per load of laundry. Been using it for years now and it works great and costs so little it is all but free.
