Hi from Taranaki, we are a group of 7 peeps, all working together to prepare for WTSHTF. We are pooling our resources, skills and knowledge, growing and swapping food, seeds and knowledge. We keep and update lists of what we have as a group, eg, power, storable food, vehicles, survival equipment to spot holes in our preparedness. The 7 of us get together every 2 months to discuss our preparedness, and to discuss what we have read or seen on alternative media, just cant trust mainstream media for true accounts of whats going on in the world. Hello from Waiheke NZ

Postby beelight » Mon Oct 17, 2011 1:19 am

HI there fellow NZ preppers - I am interested in creating an active network on Waiheke and Auckland/Northland - to share ideas, skills, tools, socialise, etc etc.
For example here on Waiheke it costs $90 to take a car to town in order to get cheaper bulk foods, I want to co-ordinate a group where we share costs and buy in bulk together. One person can take a vehicle and shop for the group, costs for the ferry and the food is split.
Sharing things like wheat grinders, food dryers, canning as a group, setting up local garden networks.
None of us can do this alone and the sooner we all form physical networks the better - we will have to survive in groups or not at all, time is running out.
Anyone out there and interested?
Peace : )

I would like to know if there are any "preppers" down here or elsewhere in NZ that would consider sharing information, knowledge etc with me. I am the only prepper amongst my family and friends. Kind regards :)

happy to help if i can. i started out as the lone island amongst my friends too. Now several of them have started prepping to varying degrees and we have talked about group plans should the SHTF. It all started out jokingly, but I just planted the seed and let them come around in their own time.

Hi all. Living in West Auckland. Haven't really started prepping yet. Got ideas but family and friends don't really share my interest in these matters as yet. Looks like I'll be going it alone for a while. Good to find this site.

Hey Beelight. We occasionally come down to Waiheke and hopefully will be down over the Christmas holidays. We come down by ferry so can't carry too much. Maybe able to help out if you need something?
