TGIF ~ Wireless Mesh Network ~

Postby Knuckle » Sun Apr 20, 2014 5:44 am

The wireless Mesh Network is an alternative communications system that folks could throw up in the neighborhood should you loose your internet capabilities for a long duration of time. It works on the Adhoc principle as the internet was originally designed to do be something more like a web in it's design without the pipelines we have today.

Imagine that maybe your faithful government was restricting your internet privileges for some reason or another(like limiting your ability to know what's going on on the outside)...Control is power....You needed a means of communication that everyone already has and exclusive to those in your immediate circle(however big you wish that to be). This could be the ticket your looking for....

Here is Wikipedia's explanation of how it works http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wireless_mesh_network

Check out www.http://daihinia.com/ for a download of software to create this ability to network with your immediate neighbours.

Another tidbit to collect today because you may not find it tomorrow!

This concept seems quite interesting. Would like to see some substantial positive-test reviews..following that, being in the high star rating, I will certainly research it more and possibly download. Thanks!
