Re: Life Disruptions

Thanks all! I do have lots of support ...friends, family, neighbors. At least I’m able to stay on the farm, pay him out. Even as a single women, I’m not interested in moving to the city. I’m only 50-ish...life will go on. Just not as I thought...life!
Take care all

Re: Life Disruptions

Anyway...wasn’t goIng to share but thought my painful life lesson could be helpful for some one else. These times are trying and I knew folk would be goin...

Re: Life Disruptions

Life Disruptions... My husband of 20 years ended the marriage! I think he’s hit his mid life crisis but we will never know. He’s refused marriage counselling or going to any sort of doctor so that is that! I did not see this coming... 2020 has sucked all round. But...I’m full steam ahead with work, ...

Re: Garden like it counts (cuz it might) 2020

Luckily... we have a well with good water level and quality. Also, surrounded by wood. so don't have that to deal with. Yes, I too had too much water and just catching up with sun and heat. Nothing fancy neither...well melons, and all the regulars-but thats it. I finally planted a nice bee and medic...

Re: Garden like it counts (cuz it might) 2020

I thought the same way this year...maybe I should use up my older seed, but new seed, add soil to more boxes... Glad I did! Everything’s coming up well. Need a little less rain and a little more sun but I’m sure July will provide. Garden look good! Hope everyone’s saying healthy and getting their pr...

Re: Farming/livestock etc

Another thing I forgot to mention to folk...already-we have been noticing folk are starting to hoard small livestock, as well as garden seed. Interesting when you have trouble finding day olds heritage birds and your seed catalogue says (sold out/sold/out) Glad I harvest seed and I already ordered n...

Re: Laundry Question

The plungers are the best. Or by hand in the tub and just buy a hand crank wringer/hang to dry. Those are easy to find and can clamp to pretty much anything. I also have antique scrub boards. They are, at present, simply decoration in my laundry room. I even have a small one for delicates......
