Re: 3 dead

Thank-you heli, and I see what you are saying, and agree. And pepper, just because a person doesn't feel the need share everything seen, thought and felt, on the internet...doesn't mean that all those observations and many more weren't made. And being older doesn't mean anything when I comes to actu...

Re: Hutterites

1st of all..C5, u know a bit my friend...and it's not just them...as 4 the 'colony folk'...does anyone else think that our 'free society' has more than just a bit, to be desired...this is why I try (and sometimes to my demise...crap!!!) to respect and learn from all. Lol, on a side note, I put in a ...

Re: 3 dead

OK...I never claim to know much...but I have to say that there should NEVER be disregard (at least today...when things are fairly status quo) for those 'frail and weak'...just my opinion. And Ebola is NOT 'sexy' or 'cool' in any way, shape or form! I just got back from my 2nd trip over seas this yea...

Re: An interesting trailer

I agree with Girlcancan. I've seen way better B movies for sure. I respect the fact that there was a couple of things they brought up that are worth while mentioning(e.g. storage conditions and such for meds, extra filter for water...), however 90 mins spent perusing a few of the discussion threads ...

Re: On Sale This Week

Not that I know much...but u r 100% correct on that 86. Ha,ha,haaaaa...and that's just what the animal eats (in the feedlot). There are also the upstream processes to consider (well, maybe not...ignorance is bliss???)...the processing + mixing of the feed...where the components of the feed originate...

Re: Lethbridge water shortage

I just had a flash back from the movie "Contact" - The quote that I'm thinking of is something like, "you can always count on the Japanese; why build one when you can build two for twice the price?" Remember, this is only the second time in twenty years that Lethbridge's water treatment system coul...

Re: Lethbridge water shortage

Lol, I had to pick up some milk @ Safeway after work today, and I had to take a picture of the water shelf... not 1 little bit left!! And Antsy, I did think of that..the 2 lines underground, but I still think the overall long term cost would actually save money. Now retro-fiting is a different thing...

Re: Lethbridge water shortage

I'm not 100% sure myself, but I think it has something to do with the combination of the ability to draw the water from the river through the filters, the level of the tanks that water is stored in, the panic of unprepared/selfish individuals (for instance, the line ups at the car wash yesterday at ...

Re: Lethbridge water shortage

So they say something like...3 days or 6 meals on the shelves (I can't remember @ the moment)...Lethbridge was told 8hrs of potable water left in the system around lunch time...4 hrs later a boil water order is issued, and they may run out of water for fire suppression...all stores sold out of bottl...

Re: Lethbridge water shortage

Well I'm not totally sure on that. Healthy adults can bathe, but u shouldn't stick your toddlers or even children in the tub or shower. Just sponge bathe them, and it would be better if it was with potable water as toddlers tend to stick their hands in their mouths, and your probably not going to be...
