Re: Water Filters For House Water

Find a good UV and then make sure the bulbs are a good price. The guy that installed the one in my place bought the cheapest system, with the most expensive bulbs and the hardest to find. I use to have to get it special ordered from a water depot guy. I get them about $20 cheaper on amazon now..... ...

Re: Are you prepping for the coronavirus?

Mask fit testing is required for hospital and home care staff ever two years or with any significant weight change. Masks do not work if facial hair is under them at all. They need a tight seal to the face. Here is a donning and doffing illustration. Note I will never where a hazmat suit or gas mask...

Re: Are you prepping for the coronavirus?

It took years of training, but I rarely mess up any more. Getting Gastro from work and going down with 27 staff and 19 patients .... knowing you got sick because someone’s poop got in your mouth..... you learn :o

Re: Are you prepping for the coronavirus?

I work in an ER, and I’m the only staff nurse on the infection control committee. I will NEVER put on a hazmat suit for this virus. It’s a waste of money. The a cheap ass isolation gown more then does the job. The virus will only live on clothing for 20 mins give or take. A surgical mask with face s...

Re: Keeping the faith you'll find a working MAG

i was part of a drill where 9mm were being fired beside me, the pressure was something else, and they weren't that close to me. ( maybe 2-3 feet) i didn't know what cal was being used. i asked the instructor "are those 45's?" based on the pressure . . . he laughed "looked pretty damn big when it's c...

Re: Keeping the faith you'll find a working MAG

How does the operator refrain from pulling the trigger? Too soon, he may jeopardize the mission. Fire discipline can be just as crucial as the ability to take the shot. How well does he communicate under stress? Can he follow instructions in the heat of things? Does a chaotic and loud situation aff...

Re: What have you added to your preps this week?

I've been spoiled over the years with Night Force optics. But if I were to buy another scope, I'd seriously consider the Bushnell LRTS scope. I've used one and was impressed with the turret system. You've got a nice set-up without spending a fortune. my biggest fear is when i die my wife sells my r...

Re: Keeping the faith you'll find a working MAG

history shows two very different faces. NY power outages and people got flashlights and helped people cross streets. good people come out. but then the super dome post katerina (even with some of the stories being proven made up and exaggerated ) things were bad . . . bad people take advantage. idea...

Re: What have you added to your preps this week?
