Re: Aquaponics Update

For those working on an aquaponics setup, draining tanks, moving water etc can be a chore.
At C-tire they currently have a v-pump on sale, which uses water pressure from your garden hose to pump water.

Re: Another Act of Terrorism.

My issue was not with the original post, but with the how it was immediately derailed, in an entirely unacceptable way. There is no word in the English language that is defined as discrimination against religion. While some may rely on dictionary.com for the definition of racism to justify their ign...

Re: Another Act of Terrorism.

I made a post that was apparently deleted. But I will say it again. The racism, hatred, and ignorance expressed by some posters in this thread, is not what I joined this forum for. This thread should be closed and deleted The trolling in this thread has nothing to do with prepping, and is being cond...

Re: Bug Out Shelter

The biggest thing that I think people here may be missing is the "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst". I can think of a thousand scenarios in which a travel trailer of some kind could not be used, and I can think of as many again, where it would be a viable option. Not all SHTF is going to hap...

Re: Bug Out Shelter

There are campers and trailers that are 4 season, like Arctic Fox, that are designed to be used year round. Built in insulation keeps them warm in the winter and cooler in the summer, but there are limits to the temperature range of course. Trailers of any kind require a lot of maintenance to keep i...

Re: Buggin as a group

Sorry you took that so personally, it was intended as more of a general statement, playing the other side of the bug out scenario.
If we could predict every scenario and outcome, we wouldn't have to be preppers, we could just move.

Re: Buggin as a group

When most people thin of bugging out, they often think of people from urban areas swarming into the mountains, woods, or other remote locations. Having the superiority complex that because you live in a less populated area than others, you are less prone to be affected by disasters, is purely ignora...

Re: BOV

Jfamily, I will be using heavier wall tube for the main frame, and then going thinner where I can get away with it. The drawback of baking, while increasing hardness, also leads to brittleness. I am a welder/fabricator by trade, so these projects are right up my alley, it's just the time vs. money b...

Re: BOV

Jfamily, I like the Kakadu trailers, and all of the similar designs by other companies, because they are the ultimate in small versatility. I am going to be building my own out of aluminum, to keep it lightweight, and totally customized. Of you google DIY expedition trailers, there are some very imp...
