yup, knew that Sue, but thanks anyway. This is a part of the storage that gets heavy rotation, so it's not an issue.

changed out my gas storage (i do this every threee months).
bought some brown rice in bulk for storage.

That area has a lot of small faults, thankfully nothing that should generate damaging quakes very often . Unlike the West coast....

Always a concern. Most incidents have their roots in penny-pinching on maintenance. Many non-nuclear plants have what is called Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), which means that it is generally cheaper to run a pump or motor to failure and replace it than to regularly maintain it.
