Apparently it has been cheaper to outsource all of our prescription drug manufacturing to China so that we either get the product totally complete there or some components. They aren't shipping and we don't have the capacity to create our own. Hence...shortages.

Has anyone else heard or read that the quarantine period should have been 24 days not the 14 that all of the governments have been imposing? If that is true there are going to be a lot of infected people wandering around thinking all is good.

This is a good reminder that things can happen. From job loss to tornadoes to viruses..it is comforting to know that you are as well prepared as possible to weather any storm! You are right, not everybody would spend money on communications. You can always yell out your back door or get a couple of tin cans and some string. I put value on a people powered system that is more secure. It's all about choices.
