"When a Quebec couple recently travelled to the far reaches of Yukon in a bid to escape the novel coronavirus, only to be turned away, it seemed a textbook case of pandemic-generated panic. But while it was an extreme example, experts say the daily assault of information about COVID-19 can dist...

Re: N95 8511 or 3m 6200 mask

Re: What has this Pandemic taught you?

What a great question to toss around. And it might evolve and be worth addressing again when the whole disaster is all done and over with...whenever that may be. Re: Coronavirus - A Summary Of Authoritative Information To Protect and Prepare Yourself

The link from the WHO on Situation Reports in the original post is broken...so here is the direct link to the WHO's list: https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports/ Everything else seems to be working fine from the WHO and the CDC in the original post and cont...

Re: No shortages?

There was a knee jerk reaction here in Region of Waterloo a couple weeks ago. Mostly canned goods, toilet paper and lysol wipes/disinfectants and hand sanitizer were off the shelves. Post Secondary Programs In Disaster and Emergency Preparedness - Distance & Online

Not specifically prepper, but there are a number of programs now available to better understand how disaster planning works, how to implement plans and generally get a better understanding and appreciation of the infrastructure and systems at work. A lot of the questions and criticisms on this board...

Re: Laundry Question

For those of you that have considered it, what kind of no-electricity laundry system do you have? I’m trying to find an old fashion washboard, but everything seems to be decorative in nature with limited usefulness, is itsy bitty tiny (“for baby clothes”) or is a super cool pedal operated gadget th...
