Some of the programs that are available out there:
Ryerson University: Certificate in Disaster and Emergency Management and PDA in Survival in Urban Disasters and Emergencies (All Online)
https://continuing.ryerson.ca/public/ca ... eId=170600
George Brown College: Certificate in Emergency Management (Distance Learning and/or Online)
https://coned.georgebrown.ca/courses-an ... rtificate/
Algonquin College: Certificate in Emergency Management (All online)
https://www.algonquincollege.com/online ... e/#courses
All the programs simply require you to have completed High School. There are some exceptions for mature students if you fall into that group. Laurier University offers a Master's degree in Emergency Management, however I dont really think there is much point in things like that unless its a career choice. But a few courses at a college or uni that gives a well rounded knowledge sounds reasonable.
I've decided to try out the program at Ryerson (among some other courses) and see where it leads. Just another part of the puzzle I suppose.
