Prepping in Mexico

Post by pranaman » Tue Apr 14, 2020 4:00 am

Hi all,

American here, in Guadalajara. I arrived a few weeks ago, and have been Guadalajara almost a week.

I had this idea that I'd find an off-grid, sustainable area or community, grow food, collect water from a well, stream or rain, have solar power, grow food, but, I am not finding much. Guessing that the sites in Spanish, and I am still learning Spanish.

Hopefully nothing goes too bad, but if it does, I want to be ready for anything and be self-sustainable.

Anyone know of any place or community that I could connect with that is safe, where I can be partially or fully off-grid, have internet, maybe near a town so I still can get food from restaurants for now?

No idea how things are in Guadalajara, being a big city I have no idea how sustainable a community there can be. But good luck.
