I don't know if anyone has talked about this before but this was the first that I've heard about it today and I like to know my history (I blame a lackadaisical school system for my gaps in knowledge and am trying to fix that).

I know that we all prepare for a number of emergencies but to think that a government would deliberately starve it's population for land, power and money.... well I guess it's happened before in China, N. Korea etc but it's still hard to swallow. I hope it never happens here.

I'm Ukrainian, many family members died during those times, so many awful, sound too terrifying to be true stories being passed down to younger generation so we never forget.

The victors always write the history. I have many Ukrainian contacts and know the story well.
