Greetings From ChCh

Post by Joyzy Girl » Wed Jul 11, 2012 4:03 pm

Have just discovered this site, which is awesome. Seeing what happened in ChCh in Feb was a real eye opener, never thought I would see armed soldiers patrolling the CBD, Looters etc... really scary how 'normal' life can be turned upside down and how much I took for granted the basics, food, water, electricity, security. Never ever did I think that we would be hit with a major earthquake, Sept 4th was like a train going thru the house. Life at that moment was redefined, - as before quake and post quake. No more being complacent and thinking that 'events' only happened in other countries. Kia Kaha! Joyzy Girl

Greetings from Northern Ontario. Sorry to hear of you ordeal. It is always a good plan to be prepared and can at least offer some peace of mind.

Hi and welcome from Dunedin. Realizing you need to start preparing is normally the hardest part, from here it gets easier. :)

Hi Joyzy Girl another Christchurch Prepper here. The Quake has certainly opened Our eyes. for some people, and what the civil defense has been telling us for Years. Be Prepared.
There are now more people just doing that. The Red Cross and St Johns have also seen an increase in the number of people taking first aid courses.
