Trapping

Post by RachelM » Sun Dec 15, 2013 12:00 am

Hey there, I've been looking into taking the trapping and trying to find a place to take the course. I live and hunt in Zone 88 in Ontario, but I can't find anyone offering the Fur Harvest, Fur Management and Conservation Course, as well as suppliers for traps. Does anybody know where I can fin this info, or people offering the course?

I would suggest looking over http://www.furmanagers.com/

There's a contact phone number for the Ministry in Vineland station. I'm sure they have whatever information your looking for, or know who you can contact to find out.

Last time I looked at getting a trapping license, the only course offered was in St. Thomas. But that was about 12 years ago. Things surely could have changed.

As for supplies https://www.google.ca/search?client=ubu ... 8QeQi4GYCQ would help you out.
Used to be locally in the Niagara area you could get traps from Woodstream in Niagara Falls. They folded many years ago however. I'd start looking over that search list.
